On Friday, we closed on our new house.  So, we are currently the owners of two fine houses: a great starter house that we've have for seven years and the house that might be our home for the next twenty.

We've spent much of the weekend moving into the new house, but it's mostly been the stuff that was in storage for the past month in order to make the old house look good for showings.  So, basically, we spent nearly two whole days moving all of the stuff that we don't actually need on a daily basis.  It's amazing how much stuff we have that we don't really need.  But, of course, I don't want to throw any of it away.  Anyway, we're not actually sleeping in the new place yet because there's a lot more to move.

The new house is in Webster Groves, an older suburb of St. Louis.  The house is 93 years old, and it's about two blocks from the business district that was Webster Groves's downtown in the days before the metro area swallowed it up.  So, there is still a lot of "city" feel, but we will definitely miss living in the City.  It was just time for a bigger house.

However, if you're are interested in our old house, then please come to our open house November 18, 2-4pm.
